Story

Hello all,

I DID IT!?  Even in the Sahara heat of London I finished it in 4 hours 20 minutes, and I'm so glad to have finished it!!!  It was a hard marathon - but I had awesome support all the way around from my fabulous parents, my awesome flatmates and my lovely work buddies - thank you all very much, you really did keep me going!!

Please carry on donating if you haven't already - every little helps, so crack on, dig deep and give - my work is done!?

Well - who would have guessed that I would be doing another marathon!  Not me, but there we go....this is the third in a year!  The photo above was taken 10 minutes after I completed the Dublin Marathon in October 2006; sandwiched between two very proud parents - an hour later we were in the Guinness factory having a pint of the finest black stuff ever!?

I bet you're all wondering why I'm doing another marathon?  Well, why not!  This will be my third marathon, and my 2nd one raising money for Phab Kids.  They are a great charity, and their money goes towards providing accessible and inclusive activities for children with and without disabilities.  They also give great guidance and support to all of their runners and fundraisers, which makes me even more determined to raise more for them this year.

Last year, you guys managed to raise £1,850 towards the charity - and I am truly proud to be able to call you all great friends and family.  Without your support and encouragement I wouldn't have been able to have completed the marathon in such a great time and also by smashing my target of £950!  This is why I know that this year we can hit £2,000 and that I will beat my previous time of 4 Hours and 10 minutes!

This year - I have some great incentives to get you guys to dig a little deeper!  What ever your contribution, big or small - they will all make a difference and will go towards a great cause.  However - if you donate £20 or more your name will be entered into a raffle with some fabulous gifts to say thank you for your support!

***I have a Welsh Rugby Shirt signed by the whole Welsh team that kicked England's a*se in the final match of the 6 Nations!?  The person who donates the highest will be the proud owner of this beauty......who will it be?!***

***Just to say that last year's highest donation has been met off-line!  The bar has been set - will anybody bid higher than £200?  Come on, I know you're out there and want the shirt!***

So, you all know what to do now - dig deep, and donate as much or as little as you can - beacuse it all helps, and it will all go towards a very good cause.  Come on guys,  Get Involved!?

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Phab will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Thank you in advance - and look out for my email updates on my training, how the target is doing and also what gifts will be available in the raffle!

Love - Beca xxx
