<p><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black;">Originally I was just running the Great North Run 2011!<br /> I've now racing all my events for Cancer Research UK! <br />They consist of:</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black;">11th September - Leeds Triathlon (olympic distance)<br /> 18th September - Great North Run (Half marathon)<br /> 9th October - Liverpool Marathon<br /> 16th October - Cardiff Half Marathon. </span></p>
<p><span><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black;">After running for Queenscourt Hospice in 2009 and raising a fantastic £465, and running for cancer research UK in 2010 raising £515, I will this year be running once again for Cancer Research UK, which is a charity close to my heart. 1 in 3 of us will get cancer in our lifetime, but sadly only 1 in 10 of us will donate to Cancer Research UK.</span></span><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black;"><br /> <br /> <span>My dad was 1 of those 3, and although he fought to the end, he sadly died from cancer on the 23rd March 2006.</span><br /> <br /> <span>I spent 5 years of my life being physically unable to run, but in 2009, I decided to fight, fight the pain every step caused. And from not having ran for over 5 years, I ran the largest half marathon in the world.</span></span></p>
<p><span><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black;">This year, I've stepped up my game. In the space of 5 weeks, I will race:</span></span><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black;"><br /> <span>1 Olympic Distance Triathlon.</span><br /> <span>2 Half Marathons.</span><br /> <span>1 Marathon.</span></span></p>
<p><span><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black;">I've never raced triathlon yet, and this will be my first marathon. It will be tough, and I'm sure it will take me to levels of pain and endurance that I never thought could be possible. But compared to what those with cancer suffer, it will be miniscule.</span></span><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black;"></span></p>
