Thanks for visiting my fundraising page, and thanks to all of you who donated for the Great North Run.  Rob and I raised over £720 between us including gift aid, so many thanks to you all.  We completed the run in 2hrs 28mins 3secs.  We hope to run again next year.

Just a small warning.  I'm told that donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure; and that it’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me since Macmillan Cancer Support gets your money faster.   If you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. 

HOWEVER, Justgiving charges a 5% transaction fee on this *new* total (donation + Gift Aid + supplement). Their fee, VAT and a credit/debit card fee come out of the Gift Aid.  They send the rest of the Gift Aid to the charity, to add to the original donation. So Macmillan will get just under £12 for every £10 donation.
