My story

Thank you for visiting my fund raising page

I DID IT! and it was one of the best days of my life!!! Any one with two legs should do this once. It was TOUGH but worth every step of sweat and pain.  It was an honour to take part in the worlds greatest, funnest best organize fundraiser on planet earth. My heart is so happy.  I went to sleep the most satisfied woman  the night  I finished the marathon. I’m smiling because, not only did I overcome and transformed body and mind obstacles. I also crossed the finish line and I know that every step that I took from all the months I  trained and every step that  took to complete the  26.2 mile course through the streets of London  will be making a difference to our global community of children, my favorite people in the planet (little people).

Children in Crisis aid some of the most vulnerable children in the world, many who    are victims of war. Congo has one of highest displaced population of  the world of over 1 million, mainly children and women. In Congo young boys are abducted and made war fighters by rebels and girls are raped and taken as wifes.  In many occasions this children are rejected by their communities, when and if they ever return. Many of these children become orphaned and live in the most basic conditions.  One of Children in Crisis main focus is education by working with the local communities. Education in every sense, is the single most important developmental tool.  With Education we can give a little hope to these children. To date there are still 72 million children denied an education.

In some strange way I feel close to this children and I wish I was the all Mighty and could take away all the misery and suffering these children go through every moment of their life. You see every £ counts.  £1 will pay for a child in Afghanistan to go to school for 2 days, £5 could buy exercise books and pens for 100 children in Liberia, £12 could pay for one desk and chair for a school in Congo.  As a gold bond runner I have sponsored my self with the  expected pledge of £1,500. Please join me in giving a little drop of joy and hope to these unfortunate children.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me. Children in Crisis gets your money faster and , if your are a UK taxpayer Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid plus 3% supplement are added to your donation.

I thank you again and again for your support and generosity.

 In peace and beauty,

Margot
