Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Some of you may be aware that my 14 year old neighbour and close family friend Charlotte is currently putting up a very brave battle with Leukaemia. Charlotte's Uncle Steve recently decided to run the Barns Green Horsham half marathon on Sunday 29th October 2006 to raise money for Charlotte 's charity of choice, Leukaemia Busters, and after much persuasion from my nearest and dearest I have also decided to start training.
Now, as you may know, I am not the fittest person (unless smoking a fag and drinking a pint is now classed as a sport!) so I am sure you can see that running 13.1 miles is a HUGE challenge for me and one I am not taking Light-heartedly. I have 3 months to get fit and I have already started my training. I also quit smoking on 29th July to prepare for this run. It would be fantastic and hugely appreciated if you, your friends, family etc could consider sponsoring me for this challenge - it doesn’t have to be much at all.
If you would like to know a little more information about the charity Leukaemia Busters, then you can visit their web page www.leukaemiabusters.org.uk. Their constant battle to find new cures and treatments requires a huge amount of money to allow them to continue with this research, and donations are a much needed source of income.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Leukaemia Busters will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
