St Peter and St James Charitable Trust

Our mission as a registered charity is to provide specialist care, love and support for those living with progressive, life limiting illnesses from East and West Sussex. We will endeavour to meet the needs of each patient, their family and friends. We aim to encourage and enable all patients to live their lives to their full potential despite their illnesses. All of our Hospice services are free of charge and we receive less than 15% of our funding from the Government. We have to raise more than £1.4 million every year through fundraising. That's £4,000 every single day. We offer a wide range of services including a Hospice in-patient unit, a Specialist Community Team, a Day Hospice, Counselling and Bereavement Services, Physiotherapy, Welfare advice, Chaplaincy and complementary therapies, as well as a Carers' Support Group and Befriender's Plus service for our patients' carers.

My story

Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page.

I did it!! 2hrs 4mins 15 secs - an amazing experience - the weather was perfect, the course was very scenic and there were lots of encouraging spectators all along the route to cheer me on - thank you to everyone for your support!!

I am taking part in the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon (13.1 miles) as a personal challenge - I completed a 5km (3 mile) charity run last year and have decided to 'raise the bar' for 2009.

I realise that you probably receive many requests for donations but I would really appreciate anything that you are able to give - every single penny helps!!
