Story
Hello Family, Friends and Colleagues,
Many thanks for visiting my fundraising page. As many of you are aware I have decided to run in the BUPA Great North Run on 5th October 2008. I am doing this run for both a personal challenge and to raise money for the Orthopaedic Ward at the Sheffield Children's Hospital.
Most of you will be aware I underwent major hip surgery at the hospital in 1994 which resulted in me being stuck in bed for 6 long weeks. I then had a year of intensive rehabilitation to get back on my feet.
I have now decided the time has come where I can do something to thank the hospital for the treatment and care I received. Why I chose to do a half marathon I will never know but now I'm all signed up there is no looking back. Please help me in achieving my goal of raising £1,000 for the hospital charity.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
