Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hi to everyone reading my Donation page.
I have set this up in memory of my mother Audrey Daloia who passed away 8 years ago of cancer at the young age of 65 and also my brother-in-law Martin who was only 43 when he too lost his short battle with this terrible disease just over 4 years ago. This spurred me on to start raising money for Macmillan because of how well they looked after them in their final days. They did an unbelievable job and still do every day for many other cancer patients. Their support and care is invaluable.
I have been doing a 45 mile walk every year called the Across Wales Walk to raise money for Macmillan and would now like to raise money for our own local unit at the Queen Elizabath Hospital in King's Lynn. Every penny raised will count towards buying new eqipment for the unit.
The event I am doing is a new challenge for me this year and also an opportunity raise money at the same time. It takes place on 28/5/11 and is called the Houseman 100 which is a 100 mile walk in Shropshire and is to be done within 3 days. It's a big event with lots of other people participating.
I will be doing the walk with my friend, Neil Fennel, a local osteopath in King's Lynn and intend to do it in 36 hours non stop.
All the money is going to the Queen Elizabath Hospital in King's Lynn new chemotherapy unit and the charity number is 41235.
This page will now be updated every time I do a charity walk. Every September will be the Across Wales Walk and therefore the money will always go to our local hospital here in King's Lynn.
