Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 6 May this year I will be running the Marathon of the North in Sunderland to raise money for The Children’s Bereavement Service at St. Benedict’s Hospice. Although I have completed half marathons previously I have never attempted to run a full marathon. I hope to complete the 26.2 mile course in around 4 hours. Over the past few months my training schedule has meant that a lot of my free time in the evenings and weekends has been spent away from my wife and young children and some days I literally come home from work, put on my running gear and go straight back out hearing my children jokingly saying “is daddy going running AGAIN?”. This got me thinking and I realised that some children have lost one or in some cases both parents and will be without their parents indefinitely. Your generosity would be greatly appreciated no matter how small in order to raise funds for this very worthy cause. Remember its better that a lot of people give a pound or two rather than just a few people perhaps donating larger amounts.

So please dig deep and donate now.
