Story

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: MS Reference Sans Serif; font-size: x-small;">I have had a really stupid idea and what is worse having had it I have decided to follow through with it. What is that stupid idea.... well I have decided that; as I am running the Leeds 10k to raise money for the firm&rsquo;s 2 chosen charities (<span style="mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">The Spinal Injury Project of The UK Stem Cell Foundation</span> and the <span style="mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Paediatric Intensive Care Unit&nbsp;(Leeds Teaching Hospitals Charity Foundation)</span>) and I am doing the Leeds Triathlon for Martin House; that I should combine my fund raising activities. It then occurred to me that I have entered a number of &ldquo;events&rdquo; (I won&rsquo;t use the word races as that implies there will be someone taking part that I will try and beat) as part of the training. So the daft idea was to do a decathlon of these events and get you lot to sponsor me one time only to do all 10. Ten for the price of one!</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: MS Reference Sans Serif; font-size: x-small;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: MS Reference Sans Serif; font-size: x-small;">So that is it</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: MS Reference Sans Serif; font-size: x-small;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: MS Reference Sans Serif; font-size: x-small;">The events are:-</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: MS Reference Sans Serif; font-size: x-small;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: MS Reference Sans Serif; font-size: x-small;">Ashbourne duathlon 9th April 12 k run, 40 k cycle, 4 k run</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: MS Reference Sans Serif; font-size: x-small;">Ilkley Trail race 30th May 10 fell run</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: MS Reference Sans Serif; font-size: x-small;">Great north swim 18th June 1500 meters Windermere</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: MS Reference Sans Serif; font-size: x-small;">Jane Tomlinson run for all 19th June (I know consecutive days) 10 k run</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: MS Reference Sans Serif; font-size: x-small;">Swim for all<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;">&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>10th July 1500 meters Pugneys Lake</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: MS Reference Sans Serif; font-size: x-small;">Leeds Triathlon 11th September swim 1500, bike 40 k run 10 k</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: MS Reference Sans Serif; font-size: x-small;">Great North Run 18th September half marathon</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: MS Reference Sans Serif; font-size: x-small;">Leeds Abbey Dash 20th November 10 k</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: MS Reference Sans Serif; font-size: x-small;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: MS Reference Sans Serif; font-size: x-small;">The numerate amongst you will have noticed there are two events missing from the ten.
