On the 20th of October 2012 I will be riding in a charity race at Cheltenham Racecourse. As an ex-jockey who has been retired for over 20 years I have been inspired to get back in the saddle to raise funds for a fantastic charity, Greatwood. 

Greatwood is a local charity based in Wiltshire which has several excellent aims. Most specifically Greatwood offers positive opportunities for retired racehorses and children and young people with special educational needs. The interaction and connection between horse and child or young person is a unique one of acceptance and caring. It helps to create an environment in which the child or young person can learn skills which support independance and prepare them for life.
