UPDATE
We did it, we made it to the top of all Three Peaks in 24 hours, just. We had just 8 minutes to spare when we got back to the car park at the foot of Mount Snowdon. It was such a relief and a great feeling to have made it inside 24 hours, especially with lack of sleep and the 20 minute delay we had in traffic on the M6. But we managed it.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my page which I have set up to raise funds for Wigan and Leigh Hospice.
The event has been arranged by Tim Kearsley and Nick Wylie of Essential Life Insurance/Allied Financial Services.
On the 9th and 10th June 2010 I will be attempting to complete the Three Peaks Challenge with Tim and some friends and work colleagues in aid of Wigan and Leigh Hospice. The challenge is to scale Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon within 24 hours.
Having never done anything like this before the practising has been tough over the last 3 months but at the end of April I managed to climb to the top of Mount Snowdon in less than 2 hours and back down in another 1hr 25, which I was delighted with. On the 9th May I also managed to scale Scafell Pike and Great Gable in succession giving me a good understanding of just how tough the day will be.
All money raised will be going to Wigan and Leigh Hospice who desperately need extra funding. If you can help, no matter how big or small your donation it will be very welcome.
