South Coast Ultra Challenge 2023 · 2 September 2023 to 3 September 2023 ·

Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am hoping to raise as much as possible for the MS Society. This is a charity close to my heart having lived experience caring for my wife who has Multiple Sclerosis (MS) a progressive disabling neurological condition. Any money raised would help them greatly in their quest to see a world free from MS through research and clinical trials.

Your donations go towards their vital work:

  • funding world-leading MS research
  • fighting for better treatment and care for our community
  • and sharing the latest information

Their ultimate goal is to find treatments for everyone.

In order to raise money I have signed up to walk the South Coast Ultra Challenge. The route will take me from Eastbourne down to the Seven Sisters and west along the coast up to Brighton then up to the South Downs Way and along to finish in Arundel. I will be walking a distance of 100 km (62.5 miles) in as long as it takes, with an aim to complete it in around 24 hours.

To undertake this I've been increasing my walking distances over the last few months and am discovering more of the Kent countryside in past few months than the last decade.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Many thanks,

Mark Hurcomb
