hi all.

my mum now aged 70 was diagnosed with a cancer in her stomach called a gist 5 years ago. she had to have her stomach and gallbladder removed and a coarse of chemotherapy to get rid of it. she is all clear now and gets checked every 3 months.

ok, now for the crazy bit.

I visited my parents just after new year and talked about what we had done and what we wanted to do in 2015. I said that I fancied doing a sky dive to which my mum piped up "I want to do that". I told her what it was and she still wanted to do it.

just to get something straight, the most extreme thing my mum has done is to go shopping round bury market on a Saturday  afternoon.

at the end of July we both will be doing a sky dive in aid of christies cancer research and treatment centre where she was cured.
