Last month, I met Dr Tom Bashford. He is young, bright and had just returned from Ethiopia where there are only 17 anaesthetists serving a country of 90 million people.  That meant nurses were struggling to keep their patients alive.  Tom was able to work with nurses in Addis to reduce the risk to patients that were going under an anaesthetic.

 

I want to run the Paris Marathon so VSO can send more people like Dr Tom. It's a simple way to help people keep doing great things.

 

Here is my part of the bargain; I am going to run 5 and 6 days a week until April with the goal of running the marathon under the mythical 3 hour mark. 

 

Please give what you can and inspire me to run and enable VSO to send more Dr Toms.
