As part of a team challenge for the Holiday Inn Royal Victoria Sheffield, we are targeted with fund raising £25,000 for the Sheffield Childrens Hospital - 'Build a Bedroom Appeal'.

This is my 2nd challenge for this appeal.  At the beginning of June, I completed the 2 Mile Great North Swim and raised £1,750.00.

How did the Holiday Inn Royal Victoria Sheffield become involved with this charity?

The life of the owner daughter  was saved by the remarkable doctors and nurses at Sheffield Children´s Hospital when she was only 5 weeks old.  A child that young that has suffered a cardiac arrest makes you realise how precious life is and how we take it for granted. 

The Sheffield Children’s Hospital is undergoing a £10 million pound extension to provide new facilities and equipment to help children have a brighter future and the best possible chance in life.

We are lucky that this country has wonderful facilities like the Children's Hospital, however, these organisations only survive through the generosity of the public. Guaranteed without them, my bosses cheeky little girl would not be with us today.
