In October 2018, I will be taking on the Santander International Community Challenge with 39 Santander colleagues.

I will travel to Cambodia, spending a week living and working with the Knapor community to help build 5 classrooms for the local school.  Cambodia is one of the poorest countries in Southeast Asia, with limited education in rural areas and a rapidly growing population. This means overcrowded classrooms and stretched resources within schools.

This will not only benefit the current 432 students who attend, but will ensure the school is well equipped for the rising number of students expected over the next few years. It will be challenging but so rewarding.

As well as making a huge difference to families in Cambodia, I will be aiming to raise at least £2,000 (which will also be matched by Santander) to help older and younger people supported by Age UK Barnardo's.

Barnardo's and Age UK are doing amazingwork, arguably for the most - potentially vulnerable stages of people's lives,young and old. There has been an increasing trend, over the last few years where focus and support at these stages of peoples lives is not where it should be and a significant share is delivered via Barnardo's and Age UK and other similar charities.

So how will I be raising this money? This is where I am asking for your help, it would be great if you can help me raise as much money as possible, no matter how big or small every penny counts. Every single penny raised will go directly to the charity as all the trip costs (flights etc) have been covered. If I hit my £2,000 target it will also be matched by Santander meaning I will have raised £4,000 for Age UK and Barnardo's.
