We use music to enrich people’s lives

Story

In January 2010 I am joining a group of 60 cyclists cycling across Egypt.  We cycle over 150 kilometres over 3 days from Aswan and Philae and North up The Nile and across The Valley of Kings and onto Luxor.

I started my training in July as I turned 50, but a couple of weeks ago had a small set back.  A re-accuring knee injury had got too painful and a trip to the consultant resulted in an operation.  The operation was just a temporary fix as it is more than likely that I will need a new knee next year.

I plan get back on track with my training starting next week.

I appreciate that many of you have been very generous sponsoring Amanda over the past 3 years as she ran the London Marathon.  I do recall many of you saying you would pay more to see me do something similar.  Although running is certainly out of the question, I can cycle.  I might even lose a bit of weight on the way.

I will be splitting the money I raise between 3 charities : ChildLine, Nordoff Robbins and Macmillan Cancer Support.  All of these charities are extremely worthy causes and I really hope I can make a difference.
