My story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

The route follows the South Downs Way from its start near Winchester taking in the beautiful Hampshire and Sussex countryside and finishes in Eastbourne. Many people do not also realise that over the 100 miles, the total of the ascents is approximately 3,555 metres or 11,660 feet! The profile of the route is shown on the left (taken from bikedowns.co.uk).

Mark did the 65 mile version of this last year in just over 10 hours so it seemed only natural to try the 100 mile one with less time to train due to his new baby! Steve is just using this as part of his training for his many triathlons this year...

Mark's father got an extra 20 years of life due to a quadruple heart bypass. His heart did eventually get him though in Feb 2007.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: British Heart Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now!

Please do also take the time to visit Steve's website at http://www.barkers-ringwood.co.uk/. Barkers of Ringwood is a specialist outdoors equipment shop.
