The Stroke Association - The Thames Bridges Bike Ride · 31 May 2009 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page - in the photo, I'm the guy on the right.

I took part in the Thames Bridges Bike Ride, which was 33 miles through London on a VERY hot day. The ride went over 14 bridges over the Thames and was for The Stroke Association.

I lay out on the grass and slept immediately after crossing the line - so this bodes well for my next ride, which is the 50+ mile London to Brighton route in 3 weeks.

Though I wanted to raise more, I did meet the target set by the Stroke Association of £70 - but please don't think that you can no longer donate!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Stroke Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!

Please do sponsor me, even if it's only a small amount - every little bit helps with this worthy cause.
