Any donation would be appreciated it is for a very good cause, a little information is below about who and what i am raising money for. I have set this group for people that i mite not be abble to catch with my sponsor form so if you could be so kind to donate on the link below.
Children and young people experience the pain of death just as much as adults, although their reactions will depend on their age, maturity and understanding. Adults often try to protect children from the facts of death, perhaps feeling they are too young to understand or that talking about the death will be too distressing. Unresolved grief can lead to a variety of behavioural and emotional problems.
CHUMS offers bereavement support to children and their families across Bedfordshire in a variety of ways – individual support for children and young people, workshops for groups of children and young people, enabling them to meet those with similar experiences, ongoing parent/carer support groups as well as other events throughout the year such as an annual family day, remembrance service and specialist workshop for those bereaved by suicide.
An expert Consultant Trauma Psychologist will be joining the team in May to support children who have suffered a traumatic bereavement or who are exhibiting distressing symptoms following the death of someone close, however they may have died. This post will enhance the existing service in the delivery of high quality bereavement support and will enable specialist interventions, such as cognitive behavioural therapy, eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR).
I am raising money to help fund this post.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Friends of the Child Bereavement Service gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
