Hello I am 43 yrs young, and have been a Parkinsons Disease sufferer for 14 yrs.

Two years ago, I had the good fortune to have the Deep Brain Stimulation operation.

Now I feel that Its time to give something back.

As I am an active member on the National YPN committee,
and was co-opted recently onto the Redditch branch
of the PD society,as the young persons representative.

After giving my support sat at committee meetings.
I felt that something of a more physical nature was required.
So as i love being outside and enjoy Kayaking,the BRAZIL challege seemed to fit the bill.

This challege is over 11 dayS

The first couple of days will be spent travelling to the BOCAIANA region guest house.

Day three through to day five, sees us travelling through rain forest,
beside, and no doubt in the Guaripo river.

We will also up and around the CACHOEIRA DOS VEADOIS falls (total trek approx 60km
from 1.300m above sea to sea level)

Over the next three days, we will be Kayaking, from the BAY OF PARATY to the
SACO DO MAMANGUA.Passing between Ilha dos Cocos and Ihla dos Meros.
 
On day eight we travel by kayak to Paraty town,(approx 18 hrs in total solid kayaking)
then along the scenic route to Rio.

Day nine is ours to explore RIO, and Later to enjoy our celebration meal

On the tenth day after a visit to Rio's Christ Redemeer statue, we transfer back to the airport
and arrive back in blighty on the eleventh day.
 
I Would like to prove to myself and everybody else that there is life with
the wriggle.

That although at times accomodations have to made, to give in to PD is not the only
option.
