In 4 weeks time, Sunday 13 July at 6:59am I will be standing on the edge of Lake Zurich getting ready to take the plunge to start a long days racing.

As soon as the starter cow bell sounds it will be time to start the two lap 2.4mile swim, followed immediately by 112miles of cycling through the Swiss ‘hills’, all to be rounded off with a full marathon for good measure. With all of that finished (within the 17 hour cut off) I will, hopefully, be an IRONMAN!

But this event is not just for "fun"! I am looking to raise funds for Children's Brain Tumour Research a subject I have close personal connection to having successfully overcome a brain tumour in 1993 and one that doesnt quite have the coverage, both financially and in the media, as some of the other childhood cancers - suprising given that it accounts for 25% of all childhood cancer
