The National Trust has been working closely with Plymouth Youth Services, a local educational project Bikespace and several groups of young people to develop a BMX trail in Plymouth.
The young people came up with the idea and the National Trust has worked with them to develop plans, commission a designer and negotiate a piece of unused land, under the A38 between Plymbridge and Saltram house, which is being donated by SW Water.
The trail will be professionally designed and then constructed by the young people under the supervision of Ian Warby, the CTC trail designer.
The money you donate will be spent on tools which will be used for the construction and ongoing maintenance of the site and also for materials used in its construction.
We hope to encourage young people to enjoy cycling just as much as we do.
