I'm planning to take part in a Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK International Project in the Autumn. The Project will take place in the remote village of Forte, 90KM from Alto Paraiso beside the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park in Brazil. The Project has been developed in partnership with the local population and will give children and adults the chance to continue to be educated amidst their families and community, rather than being obliged to move away, and will leave a real legacy for the community in Bobby's name. The work helps to sustain the local school and give strength to a community that are guardians of this precious natural wilderness. The team will spend several days working on the project and, on the final day, there will be a 'handover ceremony' to the Brazilian community. The next day the team will be transferred to a local town for a football match against an official Brazilian team.
