Now this is one of the hardest parts in preparation of the trip, asking strangers and friends alike for sponsorship, and raising the target amount at least!
It can often be difficult to ask people to part with their hard earned cash, especially when it comes to personal attempts like this one, people can be unsure of the claim, or worried about giving on this site.
Let me assure you that I WILL cycle to Kenya!! That is the only attitude you can have on a trip like this. I am fully aware that this isn't some casual Jaunt on my bike. There will certianly be some amazing times and it is a fantastic opportunity for me, this isn't a totally selfless exercise. But there will be hard times too, we will be traveling on a very small budget, camping most of the way, living a simple life, crossing some hard parts of the world, and facing some very real challenges that only this type of travel can bring! Trust me I will be working hard for your donations!
As for this web site, it is a very secure and good way to donate. Non of the money goes through me or too me, and even if my bike gets eaten by a hungry Hippo or stolen by a cheeky Chimp, all of the money still goes to this worthy charity!
