Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
My preparations are going pretty much to plan for me. Leave everything until the last minute then a mad rush before I muddle through in the end!
Training is mostly pain over pleasure, with my knees really giving me some trouble. My last run included 20 minutes of running with a stitch, aching knee tendons, a tight hamstring and a calf strain.
My longest training run will probably be on Friday 27th March, when I have arranged a collection day at London Bridge station for Time and Talents. I'm hoping to have a running machine set up on the concourse and to rack up over 20 miles throughout the day.
UPDATE
Well I exceeded my running expectations on the 27th by racking up nearly 33 miles throughout the day. The fundraising didn't go as well as planned though, as we only collected £350 when i was hoping for double that amount. A big thank you to everyone who came along to rattle a tin, notably Colin and Tom, who each had the unenviable task of helping me shift the treadmill between the health club and the station at either end of the day. Thanks too to the staff at London Bridge Station, who were nearly all very helpful, and Topnotch health club who provided the treadmill free of charge.
