My story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

In June and July 2008 I will be walking from Bristol to Edinburgh.

The walk will be over 400 miles, and as well as the challenge of getting my chubby little frame all the way along the route, I will also be attempting to do the whole journey without paying for any accommodation (any spare beds? caravans? hammocks?) and putting on comedy gigs, with help from my friends, all the way up.

During August I will be performing a show about the walk at the Edinburgh Festival. The show will be called Ramble On.

The walk will start on Monday 9th of June and hopefully finish sometime in July.

All the money from sponsorship will go straight to Help the Hospices, and all money raised from the gigs on the way will be split between HTH and local hospices in those areas.

Details of the walk will be posted in various places, my website http://www.markolver.com and a facebook group http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=8601359473

There is a map of the entire route at

http://explore.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/os_routes/show/2148

and I will be making more specific maps for each individual day as I get closer to leaving.
