<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Peeli's Ride for Cancer</span></p> <div>Firstly, thank you for taking the time to look at my page and hopefully parting with some of your hard earned cash!</div> <div>I am a pretty active guy and I am a keen cyclist, but when my mate asked me to ride from John O'Groats to Land's End in May with him for charity, I wanted to do it for a cause that is close to my heart and something that has effected me greatly in the past year.</div> <div>In May of last year, we found out that my girlfriends mother, Debra Curtis, had cancer. It turned our world upside down and unfortunately and incredibly sadly, she lost her battle in August of last year. Four months of not knowing what was going to happen and feeling like I could do nothing but hold my girlfriend when she cried. Debra was a strong, kind and beautiful woman and she was taken way before her time!</div> <div>So you may ask why I want to ride for Cancer Research; Cancer is something that will affect all of us at some point in our lives, whether it be family, friends or neighbours, it will touch on every single one of us. I watched an incredible woman slip away because of a horrible disease that sadly, was caught too late to help and frankly, I want to do something to help all those people that will get or are still fighting cancer!</div> <div>So please dig a little deep in those pockets and give to a great cause, in honour of a wonderful woman. Although she is my motivation behind doing this bike ride, I want to know that something can be done in case someone else I love is hit by this awful disease.</div> <div>Thanks for reading and please give as much or as a little as you can to a brilliant cause.</div> <div>Mark P</div>
