Story
Well I did it.......so a huge thank you to everybody for all the support and generosity. All of my family have been overwhelmed by how kind everybody has been. My Dad would be so moved by it all. A few last relevant facts.
1. I finished in 4 hours and 46 minutes
2. I finished in 22,260th place....
3. However, I finished 1st for those wearing 2 cans of Special Brew on their head........
4. I will never forget the look of the tramp, who was sitting on the pavement in Blackheath, when one of the cans came loose and actually landed in his hand, he thought all his prayers were answered and I had to fight to get it back.....I always told Dad that only tramps and him drank that stuff...
5. The crowd, as everybody always says, were amazing, the smiles and cheers you get when they see 2 beer cans on your head is very uplifting.
6. Thanks to my family for all the great support, advice and for being there.

Any money donated is hugely appreciated, as I know we all get asked for help throughout the year. However, I need to point out some basic facts.....
1. I have never run over 5 miles in my life before this....
2. My head weighs about 4 stone by itself....
3. I am getting old and not designed for this kind of thing at all....
4. It would be much easier to do the 26.2 miles riding a horse....
5. I will be carrying a can of Special Brew on my head and look suitably idiotic....
6. There is a serious message to all of this, to make sure more men go and get themselves checked for the signs of prostrate cancer, something my father didn't do until too late.....
7. Please remember that I am a kind, amusing, caring, handsome, generous man that now needs your support....(if I can get you to believe any of that, then I can definitely do this marathon thing)
