The Bobby Moore Fund raises money for bowel cancer research in memory of Bobby Moore who died from the disease. The Fund was set up by Bobby's widow, Stephanie Moore MBE, in partnership with Cancer Research UK in 1993. To date, the Fund has raised over £12 million pounds, which has the objective of raising money for cutting edge bowel cancer research, and raising awareness of its high risk symptoms. Through Mears I have been given the opportunity to become part of a team working with the Bobby Moore Fund, to visit a remote village in South Africa and renovate a school and football pitch. My target is to raise £4000. The money raised will go to the Bobby Moore Fund to help tackle bowel cancer. 45 people die everyday in the UK from bowel cancer - it is the second highest cause of cancer death after lung cancer.

This is an opportunity of a life time in which I can raise much needed funds for cancer research and help give a deprived area a new lease of life. Please dig deep and help me with my fundraising.
