St Vincent's Hospice is a charitable organisation at the heart of the community, offering specialised care and services to all those affected by life-limiting illness.

Story

Hi all,

I'll be forty a few days after this race if all goes well....

I know you all want to dig deep to buy me amazing presents, wine, chocolate etc ....

Instead would you consider sponsoring me to raise money for my local hospice. The work they do never ceases to inspire me.

Hope you can help

Mark.

PS chocolate would still be nice!

Race details

RUN 1 – 7.5 MILES.
Starts off gentle along tarmac, before ascending a wide, very stony hill track. As you reach the hill valley directly below the mountains, the going gets boggy. This lasts for approx 1.5 miles, during which you cross 2 or 3 hill byrnes and then an ascent of Am Meallan to 1500 ft above sea level.

CYCLE – 18 MILES.
The first 5 miles is all on tarmac road. At Dog Falls, you get on wide forestry track back to transition. The cycle has 2 good ascents and some speedy descents. It is not a technical course, but is a rough, wide track that runs through some very special pine woodland.

RUN 2 – 2.5 MILES.
Very picturesque run around the River Affric forest walk. Half on tarmac, and half X-country.

As you can see from the pic I managed it. thanks to all who kindly donated.
