Teams of Marlin car owners are driving a relay from Lowestoft (the furthest point East on the UK mainland) to St. Davids in Wales (the furthest point west in Wales). The "baton" is a pair of kippers. Each leg of the relay is approx. 50 miles, the last one 100 miles.
In conjunction with the relay there is a competition to guess the combined weight of 5 different Marlin cars. It is £2 for each guess you make and you can make as many guesses as you like. Simply donate the money for the guesses and put the values in kilo's in the comments section of your donation or, if you don't want people to see your guess value, email it (them) to Keith Howell. To give you a little clue, Marlin cars range between 750kgs and 1200kgs. The competition finishes at the end of June and the person nearest the correct weight will receive a hamper of smoke food stuffs. Note - the cars were weighed with no passengers and a full tank of fuel.
