From 5th-14th March 2009 three ladies from Mar Menor Golf Resort Kath Penny ,Carol Hegarty and myself Davina Rainbird shall be cycling 380kms across the countryside of Cuba in aid of the charity Women for Women .Many of you may know one if not all of us personally

What started as a little after dinner conversation has now developed into the three of us committing to cycling the 380kms in Cuba , maybe it was too much wine !! but if the truth be known the charity is well worth the hours of training in the gym and on the bike that will be ESSENTIAL for us to meet this challenge .I KNOW we will succeed in the physical side , Its the sponsorship side where we need your help , our challenging target of £9000 means all of your donations will be much appreciated , here is an overview of the charity , im sure you will agree that its more than worth a " numb bum "

Women for women specialise in the prevention , diagnosis and treatment of a range of devastating conditions , which cause cancer , miscarriage , infertility and genetic diseases such as cystic fibrosis or muscular dystrophy . Their fundamental aim is to improve women's ongoing health throughout their lives and to ensure that more women have a normal pregnancy with a healthy baby .

UPDATE 11/04/08 

We are progressing well , we have managed to cycle 40kms in one trip now , and every Sunday cycle 28kms . From October once the weather cools we aim to begin the training with a vengeance .

We have raised over 4000 euros from now from charity weekly walks ,  golfing raffles , meals and acivities around the resort where we live , Would like to say a MASSIVE thankyou to all who have ,and are supporting us in this challenge so far . we have many BIG events scheduled for this year if you want details of how you can get involved please e mail us thankyou x
