Me and a team of 5 other optometrists are going out to Uganda in early March to help train 10 nurses to do a basic eye test and then we will be spending the next week helping children in the loacl area to see. In our country childens eye care is open to all, but in Uganda if a child can not see then he or she is thought to be blind or not very clever. This can be the end of a childs learning and it changes their future forever. With the supply of glasses the childs life is transformed and is filled with more oppertunity. With trained nurses able to conduct eye tests, hopefully this country can eventually test its own childrens eyes and the future seems a bit brighter.

Any help that you can give to help with this project would be so gratefully recieved by everybody from Vision Aid and the children of Uganda.
