UPDATE FROM SEAN: FA CUP SEMI FINAL RAFFLE. ENTER HERE
Okay, this is probably the most selfless thing i've ever done in my life so here goes.
Today, I was kindly offered a FA cup semi-final ticket today by Arsenal FC; Im guessing their were a limited amount available from returns after Sundays Debacle.
However; I'm running the London Marathon on the Sunday morning so I have decided to watch the game from the comfort of my living room, and thus so prevent me from getting on the ale train, or doing myself an injury or anything generally daft. Hopefully we can overcome Wigan and get to the final (not looking likely though to be fair).
I know thousands of true Arsenal fans missed out on tickets for this game, and since I am fundrasing for Age UK as my marathon charity, I thought I could kill two birds with one stone. We are woefully short of our target too, so every pound counts.
I know i'll really regret this on Saturday, but I have decided to raffle my ticket, with all of the money raised going straight to Age UK. To enter all you have to do is donate £3 making sure you write your name, & FA cup draw next to your donation. You can enter as many times as you like, i.e donate £6 for two tickets, £9 for three etc, and the draw will be made on Friday at 4pm, with the winner being notified by email, by 4:30pm (so make sure you leave contact details).
The ticket has a face value of £50 and is located in area 115 and will be available for collection from Willesden Green tube Station (2 stops before Wembley on the Jubilee line) at any time of your choosing on Saturday.
Those who know me would know that I would literally give a left testicle for these tickets, so enter quickly before I change my mind.
Thanks
Sean
Sean and I are running the London Marathon is April 2014.
The charity we have chosen to run for is AGE UK, we have committed to raising £1850 before April so we need your help!!!
We have decided to go with AGE UK as our charity as we feel it is a charity that effects us all, if not now through our relatives then it will do at some point.
Please help us to achieve our target by donating what you can.
We will do the long early morning/weekends runs while you are tucked up in front of the fire if you guys do the donating.
Age UK do a wonderful work with the elderly and infirm, such as financial advice, keeping their houses warm for winter, helping with illnesses and conditions associated with age such as arthritis and osteoporosis. Finally they also arrange trips and workshops especially for isolated elders who have no immediate relatives or friends, giving them an opportunity to interact and socialise once again, which can be a massive lifeline.
Thanks for your help
