UPDATE AFTER THE RIDE
Here we are on Brighton Seafront proudly wearing our medals! Thank you very much indeed for sponsoring us
Oh! I do like to be beside the seaside
I do like to be beside the sea!
I do like to stroll upon the Prom, Prom, Prom!
Where the brass bands play:
"Tiddely-om-pom-pom!"
So just let me be beside the seaside
I'll be beside myself with glee
And there's lots of girls beside,
I should like to be beside
Beside the seaside!
Beside the sea!
So far we have raised/been promised £ 7913.80 including tax relief
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Martin & Hugh
BEFORE THE RIDE
We're cycling to Brighton to raise money for the Lifeboats, who saved the life of my Grandmother on 7th May 1915 when she was just 3 months old. She was travelling with her family across the Atlantic on the RMS Lusitania, which was torpedoed 8 miles off the Old Head of Kinsale, Ireland. Without the lifeboats, both she and I would not be here now.
I am also riding as the support team for my Dad (aka Martin) who, aged 62, has never done such a big bike ride before. He would no doubt prefer to be doing this on a horse or his motorbike.
Thanks very much for your support. We really appreciate it.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now!
Thanks very much again.
Martin and Hugh
