Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by young sudden cardiac death (YSCD). We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.

Susan and I have decided to take part in a cycle which will see us circumnavigate Lough Neagh in a day - a total of 95 miles (or for those of you metric minded 150km!).  We will be taking part in www.lapthelough.org It is our aim to raise funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young.  Please view the following website for full details of the work they do - www.c-r-y.org.uk  The reason we support this charity is because we have seen at first hand the devastating effects sudden death can have on a family.  Aaron Lundy was a close family friend and today almost eight years on from his death he is greatly missed by all who knew him.  www.aaronlundy.com

STOP PRESS (10/07/07):- The great news is that the team has just doubled in size.  Sean McKay and Michael Sayers have joined us in our effort and have said they would like to help raise funds for CRY as well.  They are currently training like mad!

We have set a rather ambitious target but with your help we feel we can achieve it.  Please forward these details to your friends and family and ask them to support us - every little helps.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate. Cardiac Risk in the Young will receive your money electronically and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.

Please donate generously.

Many thanks for your support.
