It is fifty years since my dad first introduced me to the Royal Enfield Bullet (see photo of him and me on the left) and thirty five years since I last rode one - or indeed any other motorbike for that matter ! Twenty two years ago my dad spent the last weeks of his life in Arthur Rank House, battling with cancer, so I know at first hand what a fantastic caring job this institution does for patients and relatives. Bringing those memories together has prompted me to undertake the challenge of riding a Royal Enfield Bullet around Northern India for ten days in October 2008 in support of Arthur Rank House. It will certainly be a challenge learning to ride all over again on a 1950's technology bike before setting out for India where my adventure will take me from the traffic chaos of Delhi, via the treasures of Amritsar, to the foothills of the Himalayas, and the borders of Tibet and Nepal covering some 2500kms. and camping along the way. Please help me raise at least my £10000 sponsorship target. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Arthur Rank Hospice Charity will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support. Martin Broadhurst
