I will be competing in the Marathon Des Sable in 2010 money raised will not be used to fund this trip. The marathon consists of 150 miles accross the Sahara desert in 5 days virtually a marathon a day. I will be carrying all my own gear for the week apart from my tent , water is rationed throughout the week. One of the rules states that if you receive 2 IntraVenues drips throughout the week you will be pulled out. This is a daunting challenge but hopefully a worth while one, especially with the recent injury to a Fire Fighter in Bolton Steve Morris who was very badly burnt whilst rescuing a family from a house fire.
