Story

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO SPONSORED ME - I COMPLETED THE RACE IN 1hr 43 mins 50 secs...not bad but the magical 1hr40 eluded me...all that Chianti in Tuscany in the two weeks before!  I will be back next year...

This is my third Bristol Half Marathon and I have decided to run it for Forever Angels, a UK based charity (registered Number 1111873): www.foreverangels.org working with orphaned and abandoned babies and children in Mwanza, Tanzania's second city.  The 'Forever Angels' home is run by Amy Hathaway, a young and dedicated British teacher and her Tanzanian staff.  Most of the children are in a desperate state when they arrive. The Angels staff nurse them back to emotional and physical health.  They are then found homes with foster parents or reunited with extended family members; the rest are given love and care within the orphanage.

The operational costs of the home are upwards of £60,000 per annum.  Orphanges in Tanzania receive no state support so Forever Angels relies upon donations raised in the UK.  Please therefore give what you can to this worthwhile cause

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Forever Angels UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
