Ironman · 8 August 2010

At Christians Against Poverty, we equip local churches to support people facing debt and other financial challenges. We campaign for a redesigned society that works for everyone, including those on the lowest incomes. Find out more about us at capuk.org or follow us on social media.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

By now you probably have an idea of what the Ironman event is about (if not check this out http://www.onestepbeyond.org.uk/the-outlaw-triathlon.php) so i'll try not to bore you with loads of distances and exhortations about how painful it'll be.

Something you may not be as aware of is how great a charity Christians Against Poverty is. Across the UK there are well over 100 CAP centres helping many thousands of people (in 2009 they helped well over 6000 families) with both sound financial advice and the greater news of Jesus Christ.

CAP are a truly amazing charity doing astonishing work and the more money we can raise the more people they can help. I've set the target at £2500 but really hope to smash that and reset it higher before the event. For that though we need you; anything you can donate will be going to a fantastic cause so don't hold back!
