My story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
HI
Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.
I retired from work last year and as I don’t like gardening golf and DIY I took up powerlifting earlier this year and managed to win the British Drug Free Single Lift championship in my age category (60-64) in the bench press lift. This was a bit of a surprise to me and as a consequence I will be a part of the British Team in the World Championships in Belgium in October next.
This has given me a unique opportunity to try and raise funds for the Hospice. I know from personal experience what caring and compassionate skills the Hospice gives in the most difficult of times for many people and their family.
My attempt will be to try to beat the existing British Record in my category and/or be placed in the top three in that category in the coming world championships.
So please help me to raise the weights a little higher and funds for the Hospice even higher
Thank you
