my name is martin lynch. i am currently in the early stages of organising a charity cycle ride to raise money for cancer 'research uk' and 'help for heroes'. the details of the ride are as follows:
depart bostons Pilgrim hospital sept '09
arrive @ lands end then on to john o'groats before returning to pilgrim hospital in boston.
the ride will cover a distance of approx 2000 miles and will be called 'the pilgrimage'
I am raising money for CRUK due to having lost or had freinds and family affected by various forms of cancer. It is a measure of cancer's impact that I cannot possibly focus on any one particular experience of the disease as being my current motivation. In the past I have completed rides in memory of specific people. this ride is for everyone who has been affected in any way by cancer. I aim to raise as much money as I can for this worthy cause in the hope that one day we have a treatment for most if not all forms of the disease.
