Well, we went,we saw and we climbed. The whole adventure was quite amazing. I knew five of the team very well - we have been great pals for 25 years. I soon got to know the others and could not have been blessed with better teammates. The climb was probably the hardest thing I have ever done and I thank every one of you for your fantastic contributions. The fund will stay open for a while longer to allow pledgers to pay - thank you.

                                                                                                                                                            Martin Pickles.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.I am going to try and raise funds for charity by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with a team of  11 friends in September.

The Charity:

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance which is entirely funded by charitable donation - no state money!

My niece Georgina was thrown from her horse last March and fell into a coma for almost two weeks. She was flown to Leeds Infirmary by Air Ambulance and remained there for several weeks. Thank God, she made a full recovery. The "golden time" the helicopter provided must have made a huge difference.

If I manage to raise, say, £6,000 for the helicopter, this will provide finance for just one day! What if it were the one day you or your loved ones needed the Air Ambulance?

So please sponsor me now. I've never asked before and I don't think I will be asking again!!! If you have any query at all, please contact me on 0113 266 6501. Thank you.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The New Victoria Medical Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
