Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust funds scientific and clinical research into childhood and adult brain tumours, and offers support and information to patients and their carers. We have been working to improve understanding, diagnosis and treatment of brain tumours since the charity was set up in 1996 by Samantha's parents, Neil and Angela Dickson. We now spend around £1.3 million per year on brain tumour research and support, making us the largest brain tumour charity in the UK.

Story

Well friends here we are again. June 12th this year will be the 2nd anniversary of Stacey passing away and yet it only feels like yesterday that my darling wife was still with me. Stacey was a fighter and never gave up during her short life striving and succeeding to be a great daughter, a fantastic wife and an amazing mother. She was also an accomplished Podiatrist which I sorely miss at the end of these runs! Stacey was but 31 when she lost her brave fight with the brain tumour that had been growing inside her for such a long time. Please help me and my wonderful friends and colleagues running with me this year to raise the money that is so crucial in assisting the research into brain tumours and please g-d eventually the potential cures which will allow families like us not to have to suffer the pain and anguish of losing a daughter, wife, mother like Stacey. You know whenever I am training and I feel a bit tired or something hurts I think of my darling wife and remember how lucky I am that I can feel tired or pain and what it does for me is it makes me remember two important things: 1. Never give up 2. I was blessed to have known and been married to such a special person - my wife, Stacey Segal. Please dig deep and sponsor us Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.
