Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Casa Alianza is an international, non-governmental organisation dedicated to the rehabilitation and defence of street children in Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Mexico. Children come to us in crisis. Most have been abandoned not only materially but also emotionally. When children arrive at Casa Alianza we don't ask questions - we listen, give them a hot meal, a shower, clean clothers and medical attention. More importantly we offer them a safe place away from the streets. In 2000 Casa Alianza was awarded the Conrad N Hilton Humanitarian Award. The award is the largest humanitarian award in the world and recognises “extraordinary contributions towards the alleviation of human suffering". This was the first time that the prize had gone to a Latin American organisation. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Casa Alianza Charitable Company gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
I will be running the half marathon in June, and have been training for a couple of months - not easy given the lovely English weather!
Whether in pesos or pounds, whatever you can donate will make a difference to Casa Alianza. So please sponsor me now!
