Why am I doing this? Well read below...
Green Ribbon Week is an annual fundraising initiative launched to raise awareness of the plight of children living in war-torn regions.
Last year, volunteers fundraised over £80,000 for children in some of the most devastated countries in the world towards poverty relief and education.
This year the money shall be going to the much needed region of Gaza, where devastation has caused scores of children to be left homeless and orphaned. This is our little way of helping them through this troubled time, showing them that even though we are all facing a troubled economic year, we are still willing to dig deep and help others who are in a far worse position than us, and who might not make it through the year, if we do not help them now. And that is the stark reality of the situation!
I will be travelling from the 2nd - 12th July 2009
