On Sunday 13th April I will be running my first marathon in aid of the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home. Until recently I have never walked farther than the end of the garden so this is a huge venture for me. I am undertaking this challenge in memory of and as a tribute to David Hatch, the much loved husband of my sister-in-law Mary. David sadly died last year after only a 7 week battle with cancer. He was an extremely popular member of the family embracing life to the full. Despite his illness he remained positive and cheeful. His motto for living was 'Life, Love, Laughter' and that his how we will all remember him. I know he appreciated the care of the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home which offers free nursing care at home to patients with terminal illness. The Iain Rennie Hospice is primarily funded through donations so please help me to raise lots of money for this very special charity so that it can continue its wonderful work. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Iain Rennie Hospice At Home will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Any money donated will be greatly appreciated by myself and the Hospice, as well as giving me that extra bit of motivation that I will need to complete the 26 miles and 385 yards! Thank you for your support, Mary Clancy
