For the past 23 years, Masjid-E-Saliheen in Broadgate, Preston has been serving the local community by providing for five times Salaat and Islamic education for children from the ages of 4 -15 years.  As the closest mosque to the city centre, our location enables Muslims working in the area to perform their daily prayers with Jamaat.

Due to the increasing size of the community and the age of the buidlings, our current premises are no longer fit for purpose and the case for rennovation is unfeasible.  Friday's are especially difficult and we are performing two seperate Jummah prayers to meet demand.

Through many generous loans and donations, by the grace of Allah, we have been able to purchase a new local site which we hope will accommodate our current and future needs. Our vision is to build an institution that is a central hub for all of our community, and to ensure that our children and future generations can benefit from an Islamic institution that is both fun and educational; a place where our children will want to come and learn about Islam and it’s relevance in their everyday lives.

To date we have raised £898’000 to purchase a building and adjoining land.  We have now modernised this building to meet the needs of our childrens maderassa which allhamdullilah has been open now for just under a year. The final phase of our project is to build a mosque on the land to the rear of our maderassa to replace our current ailing facillities.  We need in the region of £686’000, to meet development and build costs.  As a relatively small community we are trying to reach out as far as possible to any persons who can help us to achieve our goal.

'Uthmān (RTA) ... said ... I heard the Messenger of Allāh, peace and blessings of Allāh be on him, say: "Whoever builds a mosque, desiring thereby Allāh's pleasure, Allāh builds for him the like of it in paradise." (B. 8:65.)
